Embark on a surprising journey along the green belt that guards Santiago. We will start the Camino in the well-known Alameda Park to get away from the hustle and bustle and immerse ourselves in the nature that surrounds the city. The route ascends through the Belvís and Bonaval parks, offering unusual panoramic views of the towers of the Cathedral. From there, we will descend to follow the murmur of the Sar and Sarela rivers, discovering centuries-old forests, stone bridges and the rural essence of Galicia without leaving the city. It is a unique experience to get some fresh air and capture the beautiful contrast between the stone Compostela and that of intense greenery.
POINTS OF INTEREST
This circular route connects Santiago’s main green spaces, starting at the historic Alameda and going through the Galeras and Vista Alegre parks. The path continues through the modern Parque de la Música (Music Park) and the quiet parks of Pablo Iglesias and Ponte Mantible. The route also passes through the nature of the Almáciga Park, Santo Domingo de Bonaval Church, the green area of Belvís, the Cornes Lagoon and ends at the South Campus, offering a complete experience of nature and the city.
